ROMANISCO RESERVA

Caves do Casalinho, S.A. proudly announces that Douro Romanisco Red Reserve 2005 was again awarded at the 2009 edition Masters Challenge, Lisbon, with the GOLD MEDAL.

This prize makes this wine a 6 Medals winner in the following contests: Gold 2009, Bronze 2008, Silver 2006 and Silver 2005 at Wine Masters Challenge; and Silver 2006 at Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.

Wine with a great intensity and aromatic quality, rich and complex, dominated by violet, characteristic of Touriga Nacional grape. Notes of black berry and myrtle that goes well with species and vanilla, due to the stage in wood barrels.
Dark red colour wine, Romanisco Reserva 2007 is a very well balanced and elegant wine, where one can also sense the presence of smooth tannins. Finally, it has and harmonious and persistent end.

JANCIS ROBINSON GREAT WINES OF PORTUGAL

On the 5th May 2009 the tasting notes of the well known wine expert, Jancis Robinson, were published in the Great Wines of Portugal review.

It reports our CASALINHO ARINTO White Vinho Verde 2008 rated 16 points and described as

“quite grassy and herbal, a definite prickle fresh and with a slight phenolic grip in the texture. Fresh and dry…”

Três Marias Red is a garnet color wine, with frank aroma of ripen fruits. Smooth and with good final to the mouth.

Três Marias Rosé presents a nice pinky color with delicate red fruits aroma.

Três Marias White is a clear and soft wine with hints of ripen fruit.
